AHFoZ Trains Public Health Institutions on Medical Billing process

The Association of Healthcare Funders of Zimbabwe (AHFoZ) as part of public-private partnership and good corporate citizenship will train public health institutions (Government and Mission Hospitals) in the Midlands province on Medical Billing process. The training will take place on Tuesday 25 March 2014 in Gweru and is aimed at capacitating public health institutions claiming efficiency from medical aid societies whenever they provide services to medical aid card holders. This will in turn improve revenue generation by public health institutions through proper and efficient claiming process. The participants will be drawn from the Provincial Medical Directors office, Gweru Provincial Hospital, Gweru district hospital, Gweru and kwekwe city health departments and all district and mission hospitals in Midlands. Such support trainings by AHFoZ have been held before in Manicaland province in March 2013, Mpilo and UBH Central hospitals in October 2013. The programme was started after Health Services Board requested AHFoZ to assist public health institutions in the spirit of Public-Private Partnerships in Healthcare.
